Is a cremation without a ceremony, right for you?
There are a number of reasons you may turn to us to handle your direct cremation but rest assured, whatever the reason, we are here to help guide and support you through the process. From the initial phone call to the handling of ashes, our dedicated support team is on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
At Simplicity, we make it simple for you.
A direct cremation is an affordable funeral that allows you to choose how, when and where you say goodbye to your loved one, without being constrained to the formalities of a traditional funeral.
The first step is to choose the service you require, and give us a call. Our friendly and supportive teams are on hand 24 hours a day, every day, to answer any questions and start the process for you.
Give the team a call on 0800 484 0260.
Once arrangements have been made, our local team will give you a call to make all the necessary arrangements for your loved one. They will even meet you in person to help and explain any paperwork if required.
Your loved one will be taken by our caring professionals to the crematorium. The coffin will be placed in the chapel; the chapel attendant will supervise until the cremation has taken place.
After the cremation is complete, the ashes will be scattered in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium or on request, our funeral staff can collect them and they will contact you to arrange their safe return to you within 6 weeks. If you are unsure of your wishes right now, we can arrange for a member of our team to talk you through your options.

We also offer attended funerals
If a cremation without ceremony doesn't sound right for you and your family, you might consider one of our attended funeral options.
Our attended funeral offers families the freedom to organise a family-led service in the chapel, at a crematorium nearest to the place of rest at a time and date of your choosing.
If you'd prefer something a little more low key, our intimate funeral allows up to 12 people to spend a short length of time in the chapel before the chapel attendant commits their loved one for cremation.
Whichever option you choose, you will have the full guidance and support of our telephone based funeral arrangement team.
If you would like to attend the cremation, you can read more about this here.
