The simple alternative to a traditional funeral
A traditional funeral can often take a lot of time and effort to arrange.
Simplicity provides simple funerals that take care of all the practicalities, without the needless expense or fuss.
There's no need for several face-to-face meetings with a Funeral Director and a whole team of staff, a fleet of vehicles, organisation of the procession, arrangement of floral tributes or a host of pallbearers.
Simplicity focus on the care of your loved one and deliver the essentials so that you are free to organise proceedings how you wish without the constraints of a traditional funeral or the added expense.
How does a Simplicity attended funeral work?
Choose the time & date of the funeral
We offer our clients the freedom to choose when they'd like to hold the funeral so it's convenient for you and your loved ones. One of our telephone based funeral arrangers will help you organise the time and date of the funeral, on a working weekday between 9am and 5pm at a crematorium nearest to the place of rest.
Plan the day
You will have freedom to plan a ceremony in the chapel in the same way you would with a traditional funeral. Our arrangers will assist you with organising the running order of the day, from the music to any readings or eulogies to the closing of the ceremony. They can also provide advice on finding a minister or celebrant in your area so you can engage their services.
Advise those who will attend
One of our telephone based funeral arrangers will let you know what facilities are available at your chosen crematorium where you will be able to hold a full length service with no limit on the number of attendees. They can also provide advice on the best way to let people know about the funeral, directions to the crematorium and how to get in touch with your dedicated chapel attendant.
Talk it through in person
We would actively encourage you to attend the crematorium at least a few days before the funeral. A chapel attendant will walk you around the premises and answer any questions you may have to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Dedicated telephone support throughout
It’s not as daunting as it may seem organising a funeral without the assistance of a Funeral Director; our telephone based funeral arrangers will be there every step of the way.
Where will the funeral take place?
The cremation will take place at a crematorium nearest to the place of rest. You can find your local crematorium by entering the postcode of the place where your loved one is currently resting.
